Right-wing views are incompatible with every declaration of human rights.
bit rich to be using “on balance of probabilities” to deny investigating, when babies in those homes died so often

sorry let me be clearer: that haughty “don't question me” attitude is something i associate closely to so-called high-born Tory little shits

how dares she question an Irish Prime Minister [damned West Brit attitude]

quick palate cleanser: Trinity in the 2nd matrix movie, hacks a server via an exploit in SSH

it's 100% correct tech, on the big screen

part of the reason i don't respect right-wingers, they're too daft to be talking at me

like, imagine all the gits who say the USA presidency was stolen a few years back: literally saying they knowingly voted for a pædo 3 times

that stamp

that's one of my problems w/ these surveys: was quorum obtained? were parents sampled uniformly and universally?

strongly dislike surveys like this, if not actively managed to obtain an actually representative response universe

ah forgot to be explicit: the reason i reacted so quickly against the speed/convenience argument is that i know i'd hear how tying age verification w/ the existing gov ID would be fast/convenient

i'm not a fan of that argument; bit yeah, i instantly got the gatekeeping angle too
December 16, 2025 at 8:31 AM
for Ireland at least i'd want a lawyer to comment on that, since the solution of an order of mandamus is otherwise perfect -- i dunno how plausible/feasible it would be in practice, if the hypothetical bored Garda is not the disinterested party i assumed
December 16, 2025 at 8:16 AM
kinda agree, except that what you gained here was convenience and speed -- do we need that?

you also gain the lack of gatekeeping, which yeah i can see a big need for doing away w/ gatekeeping; personally i'm 50/50 on working around ill-faith gatekeeping, instead of addressing head on

perfectly written, sir

If it is good enough for buying a bag o’cans in the off-licence it’s good enough for accessing your socials.

Because the purpose/intent is similar.

Surely?
December 16, 2025 at 8:11 AM
the above, issued by a bored Garda at the station, is enough to support the stated purpose; anything more intrusive isn't justifiable, certainly not with the arguments being put forward today
December 16, 2025 at 8:03 AM
oh that's worse, wtf they don't know the history of the book burning pic
December 16, 2025 at 7:45 AM
... the daily mail is more sensible, wtf kind of world are we in
December 16, 2025 at 7:44 AM
ah sorry, let me add: i found myself in that git hole at work, repeatedly, trying to fix shite without much silliness on my part
December 16, 2025 at 7:39 AM
like Nazi furs and trad-caths, wtf were they thinking
December 16, 2025 at 7:38 AM
better written argument than i did
December 16, 2025 at 7:36 AM
yeh, have suffered this w/ git myself, yeh

often told myself “aren't computers meant to solve this?!” so yeah i feel it
December 16, 2025 at 7:27 AM
i'm thinking how many false-positives they must have, if they interviewed them, went “nah, nothing here”, and then **stopped**

which again justifies assessing the data-heavy needle-in-haystack Palantir approach as dubious at best, w/ no results to justify it
