Fairy wren mothers defend against parasitic cuckoo chicks by teaching their own chicks a "password" during incubation. Only her babies will know it and use it to ask for food, making sure only THEY will be fed.

African honeyguide birds use a special set of calls to guide humans to a beehive full of honey. The "honey hunter" (human) then shares the harvest.
This is the strongest known partnership between humans and a wild animal!

The infamous Australian magpies have a *preference* for who they'll attack. Some will ONLY attack cyclists, or mailmen on mopeds, stopping the attack if the person just gets off their vehicle and walks with it.

Humming birds are actually FASTER than peregrine falcons when measuring speed relative to *body size*. The Anna's hummingbird hits a speed of 383 body lengths per second, faster than a cheetah or even a plane.
