Out of the major contenders for Starmers replacements I think only Shabana Mahmood would do worse. The way that either are in the running is definitely an indicator that the Labour Party is on its last legs.
Even a soft left resurgence would have to deal with the Labour right sabotaging the party.

Like a Streeting led Labour Party would be push Scottish Labour into like, 5th come the Holyrood elections. In Westminster I imagine he'd end up with seats in the low 40s.
