We hope this will open up further applications for fast 3D imaging of tissues and complex structures with sub-cellular resolution, using conventional sample mounting techniques.
Thank you to everyone who made this work possible.

We demonstrate our method on biological samples with a range of RIs, including a whole fly brain 🧠 (imaged in < 3 min⚡) and > 1 cm long mouse bone 🐭🦴 (🧵 5/6).
ld-light.bsky.social
Using RI-tuned bead phantoms, we show that correction collar adjustment can partially compensate for RI mismatch, improving the imaging depth for a range of clearing protocols 🧪 (🧵 4/6).
ld-light.bsky.social
We demonstrate imaging of higher refractive indices (RI), maintaining a sub-1.5 µm axial resolution over hundreds of microns in depth, with multi-view image fusion providing more isotropic resolution (🧵 3/6).

We present cleared-tissue optimized single-objective dual-view light-sheet fluorescence microscopy using:
🔹Folded remote-refocusing OPM
🔹1.25 NA silicone-immersion primary objective
(🧵2/6).

Last week, our Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and Postdocs Committee hosted their first-ever departmental social.

These are the events where ideas spark and collaborations take root.
