It’s #LiftToTheSky Monday.

Today’s not about you. Tag a poet, press, or creative you admire. One post. One selfless act.

Use the hashtag #LiftToTheSky and check the feed — it’s the best way to find and support each other.

Let’s make generosity visible.

If this goes on I'm going to have closed sessions where selected people only can come into a secure house, be searched for phones and other devices, and only then be allowed to unfold and read a sheet of paper with one poem on it.... Book theft must be stopped. #AI #meta #booktheft

If the UK government agrees to a wholesale undoing of copyright, to excuse Meta's massive theft of books, art, movies etc as 'data', then the creative industries and all of us working in them are finished. All viewers and readers will get in future is unoriginal, derivative slop. #MetaBookThieves

A huge thank you to all our BSky pioneers! To everyone who pitched / read / liked / shared today. I think we’ve found our new home here on Bluesky! Good luck to all who pitched, and keep an eye on those DMs! My thanks to partners - ASLA and HIE.

Wee update from me. A few more followers - hello, ty for the follows! 👋. I'm immersed in research for my work in progress (fiction), doing a remote cooperative long-form writing course, mentoring someone & ofc still being a carer to my disabled son. I should be a juggler. 🤹

This is what happens when you mess with writers. They write angry poetry.

Also, they galvanise, protest, and sign petitions.

Hello,

Please do spread the word about our novella prize, judged by Ali Smith. We're publishing 3 of the first year's shortlist, so odds are better than most prizes.

Writing isn't the same since it was as highly commercialised as it is today. What do you think? I think it has suffered in many ways. I also see this in music and art. Kudos to those creating away from fame & fortune, not even thinking about sales or success.
