This fledgling Cardinal is 1 of 2 in the 4th brood of a pair nesting in our hedge. She’s so young she doesn’t have her tail feathers yet. If you look closely there’s a tinge of red on the tip of her tail and the edge of her wing. All taken in my central #Toronto backyard. #birding #backyardbirding

A very tiny bird with a very loud call, I’ve been listening to the Warbling Vireo for almost two weeks. Finally was able to catch a glimpse and grab a couple of shots.

This is the illusive (to me anyway) Marsh Wren. I heard it all spring last year but never caught a glimpse. Yesterday the same. They usually tuck themselvess well away in the reeds. But today this buddy graced me with a full view and serenade!

Midtown Toronto today, I heard a distinctive and not the usual suspect call coming from the back yard. Quickly, quietly I made my way outside and was lucky enough to catch this shot of a Grey Catbird in our hedge!

Much has been reported about Cifu’s response but little has been said about the Toronto fan’s remark which was clearly antisemitic. How? By inferring Cifu - a Jewish person - is responsible for Israel’s actions in Gaza by virtue of raising starving children. It’s subtle but it’s clear.
