Incredible work. I feel illuminated in its presence.

ok, phrasing markings. they're pretty common in all music, including counterpoint. just kinda helps you understand the composers intention for what chords go together in a phrase. play it legato if you can, haha.

Do you have an example of the weird slur thing you're talking about? One thing I find annoying is how a slur and a tie have the same notation so it can be ambiguous.

And I'm not against pedal cheats but I find that once I learn to play it "the right way", it's usually unnecessary.

I will be there! Whether or not we meet, who can say? I'll try to say hi if I see ya tho!

ok it's gonna be cool, panic is subsiding

Since I've gotten more obsessed with JS Bach's keyboard works, I've encountered a lot of these passages where there's only one good way to play them legato. It might require some funky twists, and one can't (or at least shouldn't) use the sustain pedal to cover up sloppiness in baroque music.

It really depends on the piece. Lots of pieces are forgiving of the fingering but some have passages that only work one way, and it might not be intuitive.

i'm scared. you seem even brattier than before.

Kitty has to become my houseboy to earn that badge. Time served as an ottsel doesn't count.

No expectations here but I'd certainly appreciate any surprises that come my way =)

I might get a little jelly when he rides you but you deserve a good fox ;3

(And I just accidentally reminded myself of the delicious homemade jelly/jams you sent me a few winters back! Mmmmmm!)

Yay I'm so happy you like it. Last time we hung out I was smitten. Looking forward to next time! 🥰

Actually a couple winters ago there was a pretty bad accident in town involving a Tesla cutting off a semi truck which then crashed into a bridge, causing major structural damage and closing the whole road for a while

Up here in the Sierra Nevada, Tesla owners love to drive up in the winter but they can't handle snow driving so you often see them in the roadside ditches

Yeah it's funny. And once the reputation is there, confirmation bias amplifies it. I extra-remember the times a BMW cuts me off *because* it was a BMW
