I really hope we don't have another ice storm again because going without heat and power that long was really fucking brutal but at least we'll be prepared next time.

I always underestimate just how tanky plants get when they're dormant, like as long as their roots are protected they can survive even the most extreme conditions. they withstood freezing rain and ice for 2 weeks straight and didn't even flinch

whenever I feel nervous about frost damaging my plants I just think about how they survived the historically brutal ice storm we had last winter like nah these little freaks can handle it

Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

our guess is that it was TOO much light, considering they kept a fluorescent lamp 3 inches from the top of it and wouldn't even bother turning it off at night x_X;

I think what upsets me the most is that we contacted EVERY local greenhouse and museum we could find to donate the cactus to and everyone was either like "lol no" or "CACTI ARE DANGEROUS!!!1" and the one place that accepted literally didn't care and just let it die :/

when I'm old I hope I have as much patience as my dad. he donated his 6ft tall cactus to a flowershop just for it to die of neglect 2 weeks later and he was like "that sucks, I'll never go there again." and I'm so mad for him i wanna chew a hole in their wall

This right here. I love my art friends and art community, but I'm also trying to run a business as a freelancer/selling products and I need the reach! Every time we scatter to different platforms it's a little harder to exist as a working artist whose primary visibility is only online.

As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.

it's not so bad playing on story/easy-mode because the combat gets kinda stressful later but aside from the occassional jumpscare I'd say it's more gross/beautiful/disturbing than super scary if that helps xD
