It’s not about just TikTok or ByteDance or even Tencent (which they’ll probably come for next). It’s about the fact that our government is forever able to censor any app that they deem a “foreign adversary”while still using it themselves. It’s fascism.
I personally wasn’t a heavy TikTok user but the videos were hilarious and there was a PLETHORA of information on there if you knew how to search. I think it’s disingenuous to say that people shouldn’t be upset about not being able to access that anymore.
