I don't know how common it is, but I certainly think anyone doing it should be encouraged to give up their social housing.

Isn't that the case already? I would imagine it is a standard condition of a lease or a rental agreement that you actually live in the place the majority of the year. I would be happy to be corrected by someone who has recently through a housing association rental agreement.

Definitely. Matt Goodwin, The Daily Mail etc. fail to point out it takes five to ten years to gain access to health care and welfare benefits.

I submitted a green card application in Minnesota earlier this year. It was approved surprisingly quickly. Like you I was surprised it was necessary to submit so much paperwork in hard copy.

Sorry that should have read "many", not most. I was trying to make the point that many people work or study in the UK for a number of years before leaving. There is no invadion. The word "home" has been used by the far right. As Paddington found out you can have more than one "home."
