like I'm sure some right wingers are dumb and believe the bill is going to make the economy good again or something. but I feel like quite a bit of it has to be "yeah I'll take the hit, sure give billionaires a cut. just hit the people I hate worse and make them suffer. bring the pain, its worth it"

maybe its too glib but like. I think for a lot of trump voters racial solidarity and ideological commitment to white nationalism beats out everything - they'll advocate for policies that might hurt themselves in the short run because they believe it will hurt their enemies more and 'purify society'
