The President of the United States is living in an alternate reality and it's long past time for media outlets to start talking about it.

We're beyond "Trump said without evidence." Trump is governing a world that only exists in his warped mind.

The literal reading of this statement is Pam Bondi is planning extrajudicial executions of random protesters.

My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

Posobiec claim: Antifa is so clearly real that it “has been going on for almost 100 years … going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany.”

Analysis: it’s… difficult to position yourself as the good guys if you’re aligning yourself with the Nazis in your historical analogy.

I haven’t seen the new Amtrak Acela Avelia Liberty trains doing trial runs since they launched into service but I do occasionally see them preparing for the first daily departure when I head to work early.

As seen earlier this morning, the first of the fare gates have arrived at South Station and were waiting to be installed.

Now that the rain is coming down in buckets my coworkers are saying I should get a pedal boat with an umbrella. "You can take the Sudbury River to the aqueduct"

Guys, that's why I got in early while it was still beautiful outside!

One might think that if they looked around they might be able to find someone in the public realm acting unethically. But no, they seem to have difficulty with that.

Scenes from this morning’s #bikecommute - Ewoks huddle around a campfire ahead of #Halloween and I detoured a bit for a short spin on the BWALT #railtrail .

BWALT is the Boston to Worcester Air Line Trail, on the right-of-way of an century-old abandoned trolley line.

Speed safety cameras are astonishingly successful. We know the tools that reduce traffic violence. Legalize them.

It’s actually good and right to find joy even as things fall apart. Now more than ever it is good to find joy and happiness where you can. It’s ok and good not to consume the horrors all of the time.

A couple weeks ago I went to a concert and the bouncer said that George Costanza would be envious of my apparently chonky wallet. I chuckled and later looked up the reference. I’ve probably seen less than a dozen Seinfeld episodes. I was busy working my way through college and grad school then.

Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

One time I saw an urn at that beach when I was riding by. It’s definitely haunted.

The upside to going to the beach at night is that I don’t have to worry about getting a sunburn.

The downside? Well I guess there’s a risk of encountering the ghosts of Whitey Bulger’s victims - but I haven’t seen any yet. And it is Halloween season, so…
