I remember quitting that book after about a chapter. Can’t quite remember what made me put it down. I think its Polanski focus grated on me. Sometimes it’s tough to reconcile “Chinatown is a classic movie” with “Chinatown’s director is a pedophile.”

Meh. The book was better. Written by Brian Garfield, I think. Who also wrote… Death Wish? Thanks, Google! Yep, he wrote Death Wish! One of my mom’s favorite authors.
