She also screams, “No I didn’t. You told me I had white stuff on my mouth!” My guess is he accused her of spitting at them to justify detaining her, when in reality he had told her she had white stuff on her mouth to trick her into spitting. Is this is a known tactic? If so, word needs to be spread.

More to the point, how can we trust that any of these recent assassinations/attempts weren’t psyops orchestrated by them? I’m not big on conspiracies, but when they have unlimited money/resources, zero guardrails or conscience, and a background in splashy faux-reality programming? I mean, come on!

Yes, that’s the Curtis Yarvin playbook. Gut the government out of existence, forcing people to turn to unregulated corporations for every need from health care to weather forecasting to police and fire protection. Corporate profits supplant public interest. What could go wrong?

Indeed I have. And they need to know they do not have the people’s support and we are watching. Again… not sufficient, but necessary. Lack of visible dissent only further emboldens them. And even if protesting doesn’t change a thing, I don’t intend to go to my grave knowing I didn’t at least try.

…And the larger our numbers, the greater the impact. So I hope to see you on the front lines on the 18th, silly sign in hand. :-)

We don’t protest to convince the regime to change its ways. You’re right; that would be an exercise in futility. We protest to show the courts and our local reps that the regime doesn’t reflect the will of the people. And to spread hope among the downtrodden and inspire others not to bend the knee.

You got a better plan? Do both! Sure, protests aren’t *sufficient* to stop authoritarianism, but they are, I’d argue, *necessary* to do so. It inspires hope and galvanizes resistance when people see they are not alone in opposing what’s happening. Sustained, organized, peaceful resistance works.

The fact that many others are doing this only makes it more concerning. I worry the original idea was planted by a bad actor with nefarious purposes. The secure collection and transport of the goods is not the issue. The concern is an infiltrator bringing and misusing a can to set the rest of us up.

Maybe I’m being paranoid, but did a spy from Kash Patel’s office come up with the idea to make this protest a canned food drive? Trump‘s favorite lie about protesters is literally that we use *soup cans* and other canned goods as weapons. False flag vibes, anyone?

Per @cnn.com, “scores” protested nationwide. I’d love to know if this use of lowball denominations (dozens, scores, hundreds) is just laziness or if the media is minimizing to avoid the ire of corporate funders or this litigious administration. Thoughts?
