The Ministry of Justice is still refusing to meet with the lawyers or families of hunger strikers being held on remand.

This is all very well but the elephant in the room, as the Guardian knows, is the petrochemical industry which lobbied successfully to collapse the recent Global Plastic Treaty talks. And will continue to do so unless govts take a collective stand against them.
