Recent events remind me o’ how far my nation has strayed from its ideals, but I refuse to drown myself in sorrow or abandon the pursuit o’ a better tomorrow.
I just saw an article that attempted to justify that gaudy ballroom this administration decided was a good replacement to the East Wing. Fuck that! The moment someone else gets into power, we should commit to its destruction.

Not gonna lie, it low-key kinda pisses me off when people post vitriol toward the United States as a concept, rather than its current administration. I get that at no point in our history as a nation have we lived up to the ideals we founded it on.

Just woke up a wee bit ago and received the horrid news. I feel so sick and ashamed at the current administration right now. Nobody in their right mind wants an unconstitutional war with Venezuela.

Creativity entails exploration, even if it transgresses one’s moral qualms or depicts illegal acts. Bans on specific content inevitably expand to stifle expression altogether. It starts with contentious material (“degenerate art”, anyone?), then escalates toward absurdity.

I receive my first paycheck on Tuesday. After rent to my family, as per our agreement, I should still have a decent amount left. Afterward, I plan to make two nest eggs, one for me, and one for the family. I should then be able to start regular donations with the remainder.

I wholeheartedly believe that if the so-called American Dream (id est, prosperity) were more attainable, fewer people would fall for corporate-funded propaganda. Henceforth, they would scapegoat immigrants and transgender folk, among other groups, to a far lesser degree than now.

Some folk I know still act like they are above it all, and even try to argue that it’s a moderate stance to deprive people’s right to due process, and to express a desire for a justification to engage in an anti-transgender pogrom, among other illiberal acts.
