This was such a hard prospect for our family. On one hand, we wanted the democrats to stand strong. However a shutdown would have serious effects for our family. Especially if my guy was correct and it would have been a long shutdown.

Standing on principle, voting no is the thing to do. However shutting down the government directly affects my family. And my gut tells me if that happens, nothing good comes out of that.

Affects millions of people. So @aoc.bsky.social I support your efforts, but as someone who will be directly affected, I need the government to stay open. My family can’t afford another 2018 scenario.
