well okay i didn't read hana yori dango but my fear was that it might lack more modern shojo writing and the mangaka->writer + the first chapter doesn't really alleviate that worry

i do feel like maki minami is the wrong choice for an actually serious story but there were two people credited so maybe there's an actual writer

the storyboard is nice. story feels like arte but with japanese flair? i feel sorry for the assisstants drawing the backgrounds though
