The biggest win of the first month of my new language learning routine is managing to get back to being nerdy about my languages. Because there's nothing better for staying motivated than being genuinely curious about every piece of the language 🤓

9 days of progress of my new project 😁

I'm starting to think it's actually quite possible to replace Notion with Obsidian for my use cases. So far the biggest pro of Obsidian for me is its responsiveness and lightweightness. This is especially important while using it on a tablet
I started experimenting with Obsidian because I feel like using something other than Notion could be refreshing

An underrated way of learning a language: learning prayers in your target language. Sure, some vocab might be slightly outdated but otherwise it's still part of the language and a curious side activity 🤓

As a part of my new language studying plan I dedicate some time on Sundays to go through my most troubled items on Bunpro. Today was the first day and I already notice that analyzing those items more mindfully really makes a difference

Meanwhile me who stayed awake till about 2am watching the whole Chernobyl series in the hotel before my N5 exam a few years ago 😅 Fortunately I didn't feel tired and passed 😂
Don't forget to rest before the exam and get plenty of sleep! Take an analog watch (without any alarms) so you can track the time. As well as water and chocolate and/or a banana along with your lunch for a sugar hit in the middle.

If I want to finally move on from A2 in Turkish, I need work on my vocab more. I decided to start with gathering and reviewing about 200-300 most important verbs as the verbs are the staple of every sentence and I struggle with them the most

I tried playing Scrabble in Turkish. It was challenging but still fun. I kept the dictionary in pop-up so I could look up unknown words (that means the majority). I'm sure I'll repeat it more often!

Recovering from infection resulted in new motivation for language learning - yesterday I made myself a rough plan for boosting my Japanese and Turkish. While it still needs some polish I already try to incorporate some of the activities into my routine 💪🏻

It's going really well imo. I have 2 months left to complete it within 1 year so I wonder if I'll make it 😏

This proves I must be damn good at guessing because in the listening part I hardly ever understood enough to get the correct answer 🫣 The other 2 parts were no guessing, just fully my knowledge, but listening is definitely something I should work harder on 😅

I've done one N5 test yesterday and got 90%. I must say I'm slightly disappointed because I thought it would be all completely easy for me now. Next weekend I'll try N4 🤓

Last night I spoke French (or rather what's left of my rusty French) in my dream. The dream itself was too weird too tell it but I remember struggling to tell dates in French 😆
Overall it's amazing because I don't remember the last time I dreamt in any language apart from Polish or English

Almost 2 weeks ago I started another attempt at journaling in my target languages. This time decided to rotate 4 languages switching them each day so that it's less probable that I get bored. And I must say it seems to work. My rusty writing is actually slowly getting better 💪🏻

I definitely didn't expect top 5% in one of the categories and top 10% in 2 others (and almost top 10% overall). Each game jam I'm getting better. This is so motivating for me 💪🏻

Listeting sb play it I thought that the audio alone has some AC II/B tomb vibe. And now actually I've already received 2 positive comments on the audio! Is is possible that I will get a good score for sounds done in last few hours of making the game? 😱

I didn't expect writing dialogues to a jam game to take that long 🫣

I thought you can't make a good game jam game unless you have a team, an artist, an audio designer, etc. or you are skilled in those yourself. But now looking at what assets did my fav games from the previous jam use and it turns out you can score high in audio or art using just free assets 🫣

Drawing a decent pixel art character might actually be not that hard. But making a decent animation out of it is a whole different story... 😅 But that's ok, I can already see it's all learnable with enough practice 😄
