Sometimes we get into a routine of weekly - but this time of year anything but work goes out the window.

Other times it’s every few weeks. Depends.

I play with others, tho. So a friend spanked me just over 2 weeks ago - but it’s not my *husband* so it’s different.

I have lifelong friends, people who came to the hospital and held my baby when she was born. Who cheered me on when I was in school and held my success as theirs and celebrated my accomplishments.

My life is forever enriched for knowing them and the privilege of being part of this community.

I think this is true - every community has its flaws, after all.

There are so many good things, too. Like the close friendships I’ve made - I’ve known people like @firemanchris.bsky.social & @elleqsabine.bsky.social for *18* years. I’ve known @ohaijustalex.bsky.social for about 15ish. So many more.

That doesn’t work for me.

Also, not all of us are partnered with spouses as enthusiastic about spanking and you two appear to be with each other. It’s lovely for you, but my husband (also a spanko) is disinterested in spanking me more than a few times a year.

So if I wasn’t part of this community, I’d never get spanked.

So really “the scene” as a whole is a broadly wonderful place and it’s really lovely to socialize with people who I can be my full self with, but I’m glad I’m more cautious and resourced now.

We def have a long way to go on making our community safer, too!
