Personal update: I’m leaving the BBC today after 24 years.

What a privilege it’s been to travel the world and tell people’s stories.

Thanks to the many lovely colleagues whose talent, courage and friendship have made it such a pleasure

⚠️ Pontypridd has been hit by devastating floods and our wonderful independent bookshop, Storyville Books, has seen much of its stock destroyed.

If you’re able to buy a book from them, this would go such a long way to help support them rebuild in the aftermath.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the South Wales valleys, we are the only independent bookshop in Pontypridd, selling new books and more.

It would be so great if you could RT my Etsy shop in the twoots below/above. My🌲 jewellery orders usually make up a significant part of my income at this time of yr but the X exodus has meant I’ve only received 1 order-pretty scary income-wise. A small boost would help so much. Thankyou🌿

Prof Kevin Fong giving the most devastating and moving testimony to the Covid Inquiry of visiting hospital intensive care units at the height of the second wave in late Dec 2020.

The unimaginable scale of death, the trauma, the loss of hope. Please watch this 2min clip.

Towards the end of his testimony, Prof Fong makes the heartfelt case that to understand the Covid impact on the NHS you have to go *beyond* data - "there is more to know than you can count".

His testimony was *so important* /END
