"you can't be mean to computers because they feel nothing" yes you can be mean to anything. you can make your life all about hating an object. you can rage all day against it, fill your little heart with contempt, let it shape you into a different person. they still feel nothing tho.

people are justifiably angry at the powerful people destroying the world. maybe those people are pushing LLMs or bibles or guns and other things. but hating on the object is just an extra step.

*you* can be mean to anything. that’s an emotion *you* feel. objects feel nothing. why would you make yourself feel that for no reason? i think we’re angry at people pushing LLMs, which makes more sense. hating on an object is just an extra step.
