Our District Library is in a building with 3 shared school programs, so last year, we held our 1st book fair. It was a success, so we are going bigger and bolder this year!

We had between 900-1000 visitors yesterday, all of whom got to experience StarLab, look at some books about space while waiting, and explore our eBooks related to astronomy. All in all, it was a great day for Library Services!

StarLab has been such an amazing addition to our collection. I have it set up for Saturday's STEAM-a-Palooza event. I can't wait to share books, eBooks, and movies about space, astronomy, and much more!

I love my job. I'm collaborating with our ELA teacher for an immersive video experience using our StarLab portable planetarium. This is for our online MS & HS, and we have "brick days" where they can choose to come to campus. Stuff like this builds community through shared experiences! #TLSky

Almost 5,000 REALLY old books weeded, shelving rearranged, & displays started for this ES school. It took 5 librarians 2 days. I can't wait to hear what the teachers and students say when they return! #TLSkyChat

Checking out the Google pre-conference at #InnEDCO25. Not a bad setting at all - it's nice to be up in the mountains in June! Lots of Chrome upgrades, Google for Ed. & lots more.

#TLSkyChat We have seen our print circulation steadily declining (average age 2006), while the share of eBook checkouts (Average age 2016) has steadily increased. Use data like this to advocate for weeding, incresed print funding, access to devices and internet hotspots for families.

#TLSkyChat focusing hard on eBook circulation this year! In addition to centralized curation, we have been creating several rotating displays per month, sharing Sora info. with teachers, students, & families, & focusing on academic uses of eBooks & audio. Over 100,000 checkouts this school year!
