The voiceover in A Christmas Story is insufferable. Just cutesy overwrought garbage. I’ve always felt this way, but I can’t hold it in anymore

“I promise I’ll stop drinking if you let me lead the most powerful military in the world and give my job literal life or death stakes” is kind of a banger though. Not what we expected but what we deserve.
