We can say, "weird, there sure were a lot of kids and families celebrating diversity at my child's elementary school multicultural festival on Friday. Sure were a lot of kids at the local ICE Out protest on Saturday. Sure are a lot of trans kids who need our love and support."

We can declare that reality still matters. We can declare that völkisch nationalism and faith/family/freedom to not vax your kids and tell them gay people aren't real aren't the only motives, or even the average motive, for having kids.

If conservatives, on average, have 0.3 or 0.5 more children than liberals, that is not the same as only conservatives having babies. If the modal childless person is liberal, that is not the same as the modal liberal person being childless.
