He did great and I told him he did great, because he'd never done that kind of thing before. He informed me that his abs already hurt. When we got home, he followed up with: "It hurts. Ugh. My stomach. Look. I've had a core meltdown. I've had a Chernobyl. That was dumb. I should not have done that."

I kid you not, the man shouted "NO FUCK THAT HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT?" (the gym was empty other than us and one dude in the free weights area), so I assured him that he could also do them by now, and told him how to do it. He gave it a fair go. After one sort of shaky leg raise, he got down.

Oh yes. I think a lot of that cast get pigeonholed into the Marvel roles, so seeing them get to actually act is always super refreshing.

It hasn't happened often, but I'm starting to see it in certain social circles I'm in. People I've known since I was a teenager and all I think is "wow, you're just not my kind of person anymore, are you?" Or maybe I'm just not their kind of person in return. I'm not sure.
