today's movie: 1987's Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas Celebration. something of an oddity and hard to find in one piece on YouTube, my mom recorded this one for me on the VCR when it aired and I loved it. just a bunch of vignettes of Christmas songs with claymation when that was still a novelty

it's December 1st and the holiday season is officially in full swing. I was lucky enough to have a pretty privileged childhood and I love the holidays, the people who raised me (all of them but especially my mom) went out of their way to make Christmastime a really special, magic, safe time for me

Banjo was already 8 when we adopted her over two years ago. she has brought so much light and joy to our home. I also know she sadly won't be here forever and when she leaves us I'll definitely be opening our home to another old kitty because they really are just the best
