Totally agree with this. Flying a person to a third country that they may never have been to, directly into a prison where they are going to be forced to do hard labor, is not a deportation; it's something else entirely.
@washingtonpost.com They were not DEPORTED. Deported means sending them back to their country of origin. These people were sent to a maximum security prison in El Salvador, without any due process or any analysis as to whether they feared harm in El Salvador!
In America, EVERYONE has a RIGHT to due process - regardless of immigration status. It’s fundamental to our Constitution.

Deporting hundreds of people in secret by invoking a wartime proclamation is a blatant abuse of power by President Trump.

I was told the number fired from Indian Health Services today was at least 950, if not more.
The termination of 850 Indian Health Service physicians, nurses, and dentists will have a grave impact on access to care for millions of Native Americans.

Upholding our treaty obligations is not optional.

Altadena's Black community west of Lake Ave waited hours for evacuation orders during the Eaton Fire—long after flames consumed homes. 17 residents, many elderly or with mobility challenges, died unaware of the inferno.

Why Were Black Altadena Residents Not Warned to Evacuate in Time?
Delayed evacuation orders and profit-driven utility failures robbed families of safety in a close-knit Black community, residents say.

The millennial experience is growing up with the internet, and watching it go from a free, open, democratic, and eclectic ecosystem to a wasteland of five websites controlled by billionaires, and now seeing it quickly fill up with AI-generated slop.

I want our World Wide Web back.
i don't want to hear your most boomer complaint. what's your most millennial complaint?
