One of my hopes from Cyberpunk 2077 and Edgerunners is that they make the design team realize that the game mechanics for cybernetics never really worked as they were envisioned; in 2020 they were closer to Shadowrun if not worse. The 2077 supplement to RED does look promising.

I will note here that a the kneejerk reaction against of "System doesn't matter" STARTED because the phrase was shoved into discourse (though probably not coined) by JimBob, later part of RPGPundit's crowd, as part of a hateful series of screeds.

If I had a nickel for every time a group of PCs went into the Biotechnica Nature Preserve and then derailed everything by playing a Subplot Card, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Cyberpunk 2020 was rather clever. The street drugs were all hilariously dangerous with little upside, but the drug design rules made it very easy to write potent enhancements...if you had a lot of money. Many people only saw the first part, didn't realize the bigger implications being made.

The puzzle that is seared into my brain (spoilers I guess?) is where you're in a Tunnel of Love and need to turn the lights on. The solution was to dunk Max into the water and jam him into the fuse box, electrocuting him and shorting the missing fuse. How...how would I have known to do that?
