It is *not* "pursue joy, deal justly, love well, try to understand as much and see as much of this beautiful world and of the deepness, richness and variety of human culture and experience as you can before you die"?

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

Sure, but that applies to all degrees, whether it’s a ‘Mickey mouse’ one or whatever subject she reckons is ‘useful’. All we ask is for all 20-year-olds to be allowed to fanny around for two and three-quarter years in the name of education.

Apart from the objective stupidity of it, the things they want to cut contribute massively to the economy, so even by their own pathetic, crushingly unimaginative and soulless standards it makes no sense at all.
