Figures. In my experience this kind of behavior is almost invariably tied to TERFism, or even if it's not explicitly shown, an underlying TERF ideology.

It's a particularly nasty slur because there's no defense against it and it can outright ruin lives and careers. Actual demon to use it as such.

i will say though that the take was exceptionally ill-reasoned because she minimised it. AI generated CSAM is a reality and a real legal problem that needs to be dealt with

i more than understand the impulse to protect free speech, but at least make well reasoned and substantiated claims when you drop a hot take

couple criticisms i have of this take:

1) the water cooling claim is unscientific. evaporative cooling has a major problem, which is that it displaces the LOCAL water supply into the atmosphere, which may drag it far away from where it is needed
2) csam is illegal whether or not it is a real photo

it really speeds certain things up. but that's just it, it's not necessarily replacing a whole or even half of a developer, it's a productivity multiplier for people who are already skilled
