Oh hey! A new void!
Remember recently, when Trump was elected the first time, a lot of politically illiterate people frequently said “just think of how good this will be for comedy” and now, comedians are being censored by the government for criticizing the president.

It’s fun that these universally hated institutions are trying to improve their public image by threatening doctors instead of changing their polices. That’s a sign of a healthy society.
UnitedHealth has hired a defamation law firm to counter negative social media posts about the company.

Their first target appears to a plastic surgeon who said that UnitedHealth denied one of her patient an in-patient stay after surgery.

A particularly shitty thing about medical debt is that you don’t even know that you take it on. You think your insurance company should cover something, you might even spend a lot of time and effort to make sure you should be covered. And then it just isn’t, and you’re screwed.
Medical debt was set to be eliminate from credit reports in March, but that now appears to be on hold indefinitely because Trump has paused all new regulations and because the Treasury secretary has paused work at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Did trump mess with USPS? I can’t get the change of address part of the website to load and it feels like a good thing to blame on him.

This is absolutely criminal.
The 19 richest Americans, led by Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, have almost as much wealth as the poorer half of the country.

The bottom 50% of household own just 2.4% of U.S. wealth.

While the richest 19 individuals alone have 2.1%.

I don’t know that there is any way we shut down this fascist grab at our democracy with out full scale revolution. HOWEVER it seems like maybe we should give other, less violent options a try.
Murphy: "We need to act like a real opposition party in the middle of a constitutional and democracy crisis. That means we should not be moving forward nominees or legislation in the Senate. Ds should not be giving votes to nominee or legislation in the Senate until Rs get serious about this crisis"

He says that when you take an airplane "it costs you $2, it costs you nothing."

A reminder that many OSHA standards are written in the blood of a laborer that was likely being expected to take a risk for the benefit of their employer.
BREAKING: Republican Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a bill to abolish OSHA.

The entire text of the bill reads "The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 is repealed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is abolished."

Here are the options on the table (which are not mutually exclusive):

1. House Dems bring articles of impeachment*

2. Senate Dems play constitutional hardball and obstruct everything

3. State AGs litigate (and prosecute) everything they can

4. Citizens march en mass
