I feel defeated, sad, helpless at the state of the nation. I’m scared for so many. I can’t do much. What I did do today was offer piano lessons to my Vietnamese nail tech’s 4 year old son who’s been obsessed w/ piano for a year. Because music is a small joy I can share that no one can take.

I started this fingering weight sweater in August, put it in time out for awhile because fingering weight takes forever, and then picked it back up in November. I finally finished it today! #knitting #sweaterweather #slowfashion

Trump has already broken a lot of norms. But his reference to a "colorblind society" fits into a long history.
There’s lots to wrap your head around with Trump’s first few days back in office, including a slew of executive action, some of which is symbolic.
