1. On 13 Dec 2025, during a key leader engagement in Palmyra, a member of the Syrian security forces (linked to ISIS) killed 2 U.S. soldiers & a civilian interpreter. As a result, Op Hawkeye Strike was launched against ISIS on 19 Dec 2025, along with the Jordanian Armed Forces.
