I am not. But... if you want LIMIT the argument to this then you will destroy the context and miss the point that the US alone managed to base modern slavery on the skin color of its victims because it could USE RACISM to justify it. And THAT is the current problem: RECLAIMING RACISM. Get it?

Great source but even years later (1899) Tedd Roosevelt is charging into the Phillipines and making racist statements about the "inferior" Filipinos. I was sure I read in one of his own books that he referred to them as monkeys but perplexity says no. Still, the idea was a workforce to make wealth.

And now I'm wondering, if we scratch the surface of every corporation doing business in the UK right now... how much modern day slavery are we gonna find? Like... they are working for $0, not allowed to leave, indentured to an owner... slaves.

Have that conversation with a Frenchman. The Irish probably similar. None of us are ever taught the ugliest part of our histories. But people everywhere took slaves from wherever they could get them. Same race, different race... EVERYONE DID IT!!! We should really look at how THAT shaped us.
