More than half of Toronto drivers in a Universtiy of Toronto study didn't look for people walking or on bikes before turning right. Study used eye-tracking tech.

Increasingly deadly vehicles, dumb laws, and irresponsible driving equal people being injured and killed.

Just spent a week in Paris.

The most enjoyable big city experience I've EVER had.

Cars are given as little room as possible. Parks EVERYWHERE and bikes are treated as equal users of the road. Never felt threatened by a car ONCE.

The tree canopy is so impressive. I was blown away in every way.

In October of 2023, Edmonton amended it's zoning to allow up to 8-units on most lots.

After permitting only 1,000 new units in 2023, the City saw nearly 2,400 new units in 2024, with nearly 2,000 of those units coming in the form of townhomes, duplexes or ADUs.

I would like to live in a world where it's not seen as strangers, other worldly, or crazy to walk, bike and take public transit places. Normalize not needing a car to live life.
Huge kudos to @awalkerinla.bsky.social for all she’s done to champion and normalize transit use in LA!

We’re working towards a world where nobody’s mind will be blown if you tell them you took transit to get where you were going.

To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars.

Even if those cars are electric.

And then there’s all the parking.

OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money and pollution.

You don’t have to be a “cyclist” to support safe bike infrastructure in your city. You don’t have to ride bikes at all. You just have to understand the FACT that bike infrastructure makes getting around easier & safer for EVERYONE, saves us all public money, & makes cities generally more successful.

NYC Congestion Pricing is working!

“And the number of complaints about excessive car-honking in January and February was 70 percent lower than last January and February. I just love that, because it’s all-in-one.”

The proposal to test trans kids for autism smacks of the politics of RFK Junior. It pathologises two groups that deserve protection by the NHS (trans kids and autistic ones) in an attempt to remove their bodily autonomy. We should all see this for what it is: something that has no place in the UK.

If you want Mark Carney as our Prime Minister, don’t take anything for granted today.

Trump won in part because too many people didn’t think he would.

Think how you’ll feel if Poilievre wins a close election & you didnt #VOTE for Carney.

This is no time to take chances.

TURNOUT WINS ELECTIONS.
