Cassius experiment bc I still think about this play a lot.

Starmer has put himself with Farage in a very similar position on Venezuela.

The only difference being - gobsmackingly - that Nigel Farage at least acknowledges it's contrary to international law!
I think it is as absurd that Polanski is lumping Starmer together with Farage as it is that Starmer is lumping Polanski together with Farage. I also think it is probably doing neither of them any good.
"The only flags Farage and Starmer have been waving this weekend are white."

my big politics/media take is that we are letting too many people say “The West” on the news shows. it’s racism! They clearly mean “whites”! They have found the way news anchors will let them do racism and they are doing it every chance they get

I mean ok but I've never smashed my head on tarmac and been taken away in an ambulance after a day in the office

This elephant's expression seems appropriate for the first #MosaicMonday of the year: curious, circumspect, slightly worried? Impressively undulating trunk. The head turned towards the viewer is unusual. Photographed in the Musee romaine d'Avenches in 1997.

in robin hood & allen a dale (child's ballads, no. 138) robin (& co.) rescue allen from a tragic love story.

here, an unfortunate marriage will still be arranged but it’s a set up to give the sheriff of nottingham an excuse to kill allan, so he still needs rescuing by robin and little john haha

As you read the news today, watch who phrases the news as an "illegal invasion and regime change" versus "bringing democracy". It'll tell you everything you need to know about the news source you're reading, and frankly should decide whether you ever read them seriously again.
