please remember that although this is advertised as a way to keep children safe, it is not. it is policing and censorship targeting the most vunerable of us. there are many safety concerns about random websites asking for such personal information from us already.

we knew this would be bad, it clearly targets non white, disabled and less economically advantaged people already. given the state of things in the uk right now, i would suggest not using it at all, especially if you are a minority. trans people, immigrants, disabled people, please be careful.

There are workarounds with the popular uBlock Origin & other comparible ad blockers.
Age verification is enforced on a client level rather than a PDS (data server) level, so you could also try switching to other Bsky clients.
