Old bag & proud Northerner. Married. Remainer - I want to be an EU citizen again. Likes books, knitting, gardening, cooking, dogs, NUFC. Dislikes Tories, Reform, dogma, Trump. Limited ability to cope with idiots. Absolutely no porn / crypto dealers. #FBPE
The divine right of kings hasn't been a thing in Europe for hundreds of years. In fact, more than one divinely inspired monarch was executed. And yet here we are; Bannon trying to resurrect a historical anachronism in order to excuse a dirty old man.

Thank you.

I suppose we should all be grateful MTG has had a "road to Damascus" moment but, seriously, why did it take so long? And is she a nicer person as a result, or still a deeply unpleasant & foul-mouthed individual who just happens to find herself on the same side of the anti-Trump coalition?

Absolutely gorgeous. I have sweater envy. But mohair...meh! I actually have a mohair / alpaca blend cardigan on my needles right now. I love the pattern & the colour but the fluff!!!! 🧶

And why did he spend Thanksgiving with him years later?

I wonder how many prominent RW anti immigration Gobs-on-Sticks fall into the third category, defrauding the taxman. And how many other GoSs are using every available loophole to avoid paying up, like buying your constituency home in the name of your girlfriend, for example.

Oh!!!

After they fell out & after the Epstein was convicted??? Yes???

The left has always been partial to splits in the name of idealogical purity. Just look at the farce which is the "Party Which Might Have Name Eventually", Corbyn's Wee Free Socialists Of North London. The right will commit any crime to stay in power; the left has a hissy fit & surrenders.

Money. Musk is equally unimpressive. As is Trump. But they all have money & power.
November 13, 2025 at 9:03 AM
You don't have to venture into the Muskdom. There are plenty of people here who would sacrifice a Labour government to Farage rather than compromise their political beliefs, totally ignoring the fact that good politics involves recognising what is actually possible & acting accordingly.

Two things you don't have in common with POTUS...unlike most of the people in his inner & outer circles, family, etc.
November 12, 2025 at 10:54 PM
No. Next question?
November 12, 2025 at 10:21 PM
Fake emails. Sent years ago by a Democrat troll to blacken Trump's name. He will sue for $1 trillion, million, lots.

Somebody somewhere with a red hat believes him. Got to keep those poll ratings bigly high!

Not rococo so much as Mockoco.

I still mourn the loss of The Mash Report & Mock The Week!
November 11, 2025 at 12:21 PM
Absolument!

Phew!

The Mail has a long & inglorious history of supporting the ultra right. It is owned by a man who doesn't even live in the UK whilst Dacre has used the paper to promote his own vile views for years. And anyone who expects putative PM Farage to do anything in the interests of the UK is an utter fool.
November 11, 2025 at 8:16 AM
The Tories & those further right have been gunning for the BBC for years, e.g. former "Culture" Secretary Mad Nads. They have appointed those with similar views to important posts & some of the most influential journalists have clear links to the Tories; it's been a coup in the making for years.
November 11, 2025 at 8:07 AM
If you needed a reason to block the sale of ITV to Sky's American owners, this is also it. Trump & his UK cheerleaders such as Farage, Charles Moore, etc., want to turn our country into a supine vassal state of Trumpton. The British media is far from perfect but we need to maintain our independence.
November 10, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Yes, but the sad thing is, I'm not going to miss either of the individuals falling on their corporate sword because both have allowed the BBC news brand to become a byword for bias & craven submission to the political right. The promotion of Farage; LK; Fragrant Fiona. I rest my case.

POTUS SCROTUS?
November 9, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Trump has "appointed" several actors to represent his administration, e.g Mel Gibson. In fact, Gibson really holds very weird views (probably gets on well with Vance). Musicians: much as it pains me, Eric Clapton certainly used to express some dodgy opinions & was a Covid vaccine refusnik.
