To all Muslim families in California and across the country observing Ramadan, we wish you a blessed month of reflection, renewal, and time with family.

On this day in 1942, Executive Order 9066 authorized the internment of thousands of loyal Japanese American citizens.

This act was a betrayal of our most sacred values as a nation. California stands for our fellow Americans, regardless of national origin or immigration status.

California is providing more food benefits for people in Los Angeles impacted by the recent firestorms.

Starting February 10th, I encourage eligible people to apply for CalFresh benefits, which will allow more people to access and put more food on the table.
