Delphina and Delaney! Former ferals who are a bonded pair at Standish Humane, the cat shelter where I volunteer. Delaney is a love and wants all the pats, Delphina isn't sure how she feels about all this fuss!

I saw an amazing idea as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed. I will be buying hard copies of books that are frequently "challenged" (basically, 'banned books'). Who knows when they will become unavailable. I want to have my own copies of them, on a bookshelf in my own home, out in the open.

Austin is telling me to get my butt into gear.

I volunteer at a cat shelter on wednesday mornings. Poor Simi has a bit of an eye infection, but is still beautiful! Nola still isn't sure of the volunteers but is a sweetheart!

My mom crochets blankets for all her kids (I have three of them, they are amazing). I just got one in the mail that she made for my kitty Austin (she calls him her grandcat). It has his nickname (Aussie) crocheted into it! This is amazing. I am sobbing.

Austin wants to know if it really has to be cold now or if we could possibly go back to summertime.

Austin is staring at me and purring, letting me know it is time for bed. Guess I will listen!

I volunteer at a cat rescue. I came down the stairs and this face was at the door of one of the rooms, meowing at me. I went in the room and as soon as I sat down he was in my lap and headbutting me. Love at first sight on both sides! It's been 5 years. This is Austin.
