When Facebook changed its name to Meta, they actually owned the domain name because Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative (Zuck’s nonprofit) had purchased Meta Analysis

BUT there was already a Meta Company making VR headsets that they never paid

They did pay $60 million to Meta Financial after a lawsuit
