Yeah IRS, don’t f with that. A collections agency won’t sue you unless they have a shred of hope of recouping (lawyer fees alone would be like $20k for a very simple lawsuit that gets immediately settled).

It’s all kind of depends on if you’re trying to rebuild your credit, but to me once it goes to collections it’s gone. I never pay collections agencies (and I have excellent credit). Their business model is just to harass people, but you didn’t enter a contract with them, you can just ignore them.

it is valid to want to study how things like, say why high acetaminophen use correlates to greater incidences of autism. But that is not what is happening. What is happening is "you are CHOOSING modest pain relief, and your modest pain relief BURDENS the world with autism sprog, you are weak."

like I know the answer to that - people (men) want to think we have more control over our bodies and our reproduction than we do. if we can just nail down whatever ~moral wrong~ you are doing that is causing the autism, we have control. problem solved!

google "correlation" my god, there is no evidence the tylenol thing is causal, the recs are out of caution like 99.9% of all pregnancy recs, it is risk reduction not causation based, do you have the brainworms too

I have looked at the research smartass, I had two back-to-back pregnancies. How many have you had? I didn’t use Tylenol because it’s just not a very effective, but regardless I find the correlational “evidence” extremely weak and not convincing.

it’s good to take folic acid supplements, it’s good to avoid alcohol and cigarettes, but society has immediately turned “here’s the recommendations” into a way to make pregnancy outcomes ALL ABOUT your personal choices rather than the reality that your choices have very little impact on outcome!

but one of the things that drives me crazy around ALL pregnancy discourse (not just secretary brainworm) is this idea that choices made during pregnancy are causal to whatever your problem is, rather than 99.99% of all pregnancy outcomes being down to chance and not whether you took Tylenol or not

Trump is ordering pregnant women and young children to stop taking pain and fever reliever. It’s a cruel, needless strategy to inflict pain, suffering, illness, anxiety, and social stigmatization. It’s also already given conservatives a new way to blame women for societal problems.
