"There was a big high wall there that tried to stop me;
Sign was painted, it said private property;
But on the back side it didn't say nothing;
This land was made for you and me."

Wealth tax passed the Senate. Those were the floor speeches we should have been hearing for the last four months: Democrats saying #TaxTheRich to fund investments for the next generation, like public schools, and asking why the Republicans didn't support it too. #WAleg #WashingtonForAll #1u

His tan sweater, red tie, white shirt, and dark blue suit is a classic combo that looks reasonable (if you ignore the words coming out of his mouth). #WalshWears

Thank you @wadems.org , @staterepjuliareed.bsky.social , and #WALeg for protecting 1.1 million households in #WA by passing statewide rent stabilization. #WashingtonForAll #HousingJustice

#WAleg and @governorferguson.bsky.social , most Washingtonians want you to tax the ultra-rich what they truly owe so that we have good #housing, #jobs, #publicschools, #childcare, and #healthcare.

In #WA, working people with the lowest incomes pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes than the wealthiest. That is an upside down tax system because the highest income earners have the most ability to pay what they truly owe so that we can have good public services like schools. #waleg

New Yorkers, who have been living with rent stabilization policies for decades, love tenant protection laws because they are good policy to help people stay housed and strengthen our communities. Time to pass rent stabilization in #WA, #waleg.

Clallam Transit's bus ridership is now higher than pre-COVID levels, thanks in part to zero fare for all passengers on most routes. Clallam Transit will soon be re-doing the Port Angeles, WA bus routes to have 15 minute bus frequency across town, which will be the best headways west of Puget Sound!
