Unbelievably racist video, but of the 30 seconds, about half of it is claiming that Latinos (not specifically immigrants, even) are "too stupid" to speak English. English-only and English-superiority narratives are a bedrock of this regime's racism. They know nothing about how language works.

“Technology companies are not shy of falsely claiming that students are lazy or lack writing skills. Such a mantra serves only to sell products (…) We condemn those claims and reassert students’ agency vis-à-vis corporate control.”

We are at the point in the honoring-Charlie-Kirk's-memory cycle when faculty are being fired for posting, without comment, Charlie Kirk's words. At the behest of politicians sworn to uphold the first amendment, and in public institutions covered by first amendment protections.
Senator Marsha Blackburn tagging a public university for a facebook post where a professor share's Kirk's comments saying gun deaths are worth it.

People notice gender mismatches ~600ms with serial presentation, but ~400ms with parallel presentation. The patterns are different for transparent nouns (aut-o rápid-o) vs opaque (coche rápid-o) and pseudomarked (moto rápid-a) nouns! This is her first QP, and it opens lots of interesting puzzles

Showing insufficient public sympathy for a person who called for the subjugation of 75% of the people in this country is now a fireable offense.

The irony is that Kirk himself relied on the 1st amendment for the existence of his entire career.
