But don't start here! If you haven't done any bulking we strongly recommend that you do that first for at least 12 weeks. Your cut will not reveal any lean muscle you haven't built.

The primary muscles worked when you squat are the quads, glutes, hamstrings, adductors, calves & core. But different squat variations will put the emphasis on different muscle groups. How the weight is loaded & your foot position, switches up how each muscle group is recruited.

Of course there are other more advanced splits, but if you're just getting started, start here. Everything else will come with experience.
