Ah, #OTD 7 years ago, I rocked up at Wild Card Brewery in Walthamstow all unannounced, and they could not have been lovelier. Miss them.

You can see more of Dublin’s medieval city wall than usual over by St Werburgh’s…good to see some work going on over that way to research and protect the site. Should make a great spot for interesting historic reuse, too; would be great to see similar efforts elsewhere, but certainly positive.

It may not be solving all the world’s problems, but this particular variety of Harry’s Nut Butter is the best, will vastly improve your toast situation. Was never a fan of peanut butter in general, but this stuff is so good, and it’s a cool locally-made product. Addictive.

It’s from Facebook, so take that for what you will, but presenting this ‘memory’ without comment…

Afternoon waiting-for-the-youth-party-to-finish pint. Thanks for the heads-up, @stephenclinch.bsky.social - the Dark Arts is, indeed, being well looked after here.

Forced to drink another cup of tea and sit with this little kitty instead of Parkrun today. Exercise bike beckons later…

Honestly, can you top Jarvis, a keytar and one of those weird double guitars? I think not! #totp

A wonderfully atmospheric book I got for Christmas; has a nice bit on the ‘moving’ ghost in Summerhill from the 1960s.

Really pleasantly surprised by Nightshift, a Czech Dark Lager from Bådin Bryggeri - wish I'd bought more of it, also had beautiful can art. Probably a little chewy for the style, but I loved it.

Damp January.

Still thinking about how the whole neighbourhood came together over the summer to take books out of a skip once it was here/on Reddit; wish there had been a way to just put up the bat signal and collect them before they ended up there.

Jumping kitty.

Dropped the smaller offspring off for musical theatre class, so treated myself to a mini-haul from @gutterbookshop.bsky.social and a relaxing tea. Finally got Queer Georgians, as Santa did not provide, and was surprised not to hear much of this little Carol Ann Duffy book via my usual channels…
