This "WHO'S NEVER COMING BACK" document published by the White House should be "EXHIBIT A" in any forthcoming hearing where a judge/justice has asked the White House to prove how it is "facilitating" the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Wow, this is the first time we've heard this number. Previous reporting suggested it was $6 million. So now it's $15 million of U.S. taxpayer dollars to imprison people in El Salvador without trial.
Van Hollen says he learned that Trump Admin agreed to pay El Salvador $15million to detain the men they sent there. He is aware that there is a "document that memorialized the payments" but he has not seen the document itself.

“We are all afraid,” Senator Lisa Murkowski said. “It’s quite a statement. But we are in a time and a place where I certainly have not been here before. I’ll tell you, I’m oftentimes very anxious myself about using my voice, because retaliation is real. And that’s not right.”
Senator Lisa Murkowski Makes Startling Admission as Trump Wages Retribution Campaign
Lisa Murkowski, a longtime senator from Alaska and an independent voice in an increasingly tribal party, has been the rare Republican on Capitol Hill willing to criticize President Trump’s actions.

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

I've been trying to say for months now, perhaps unsuccessfully/awkwardly, that we need to make the GOP legislators fear their constituents (politically), more than they fear the WH. They CARE about their jobs.
It was great to here Adam say this.

Call, demand town-halls, protest GOP reps' offices.

America is facing a great national test — “of our Constitution, our institutions, our citizens — as President Trump ignores courts and sabotages universities and his officers grab people off the street,” our columnist @nickkristof.bsky.social writes.

I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.

I also hope to meet with Salvadoran officials and with Kilmar himself. He was illegally abducted and needs to come home.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
