My brain these days. I ordered some lovely boots but they’re too small. I meant to go up half a size from men’s 6 / women’s 8, I accidentally ordered (men’s) 8.5, which is women’s 10.5. (Even more confusing, that’s size 7.5 to Australians.)
Happily, the huge boots actually fit.

Had to look up the colour “Kelly green” and learned there are more shades of green than I realized. Missing from the Wikipedia list is peridot, my favorite green, perhaps because it isn’t considered a shade of green but rather a gemstone.

I got a shoutout in my community newsletter for raising awareness about bees.
How did this happen, you may ask.
Someone was inserting their cigarette butts in the nesting tunnels in the bee hotel outside our building, and I put up a sign telling them to knock it off. It takes a village, y’all.

It has been a month since I underwent robotic pyeloplasty surgery to correct a blocked kidney. A stent was left behind to promote healing, and yesterday it was finally removed. It’s nearly a foot long! No wonder I was feeling so crummy.
I’m glad to be a step further along on my path to recovery.

I rely on this many days, put in the blender with soy milk, frozen veggies, and optionally peanut butter to really crank the protein (22 grams without, which is already pretty good). May fit the bill for you? I don’t mind the lack of sweetness but could add stevia, maple syrup, or whatever to taste.

I am grateful to have met and learned from the formidable Dr. Jane Goodall, whose legacy will live on through all the good work she has done, seeds she has planted, and ideas she has sparked around the world.

Here's a cute example. A Wall Street Journal article, "The Guard Dog Ate My Matisse," included a photo of a museum guard dog who mauled rare teddy bears that were under his care, and the expression on his face gets me every time.
