God these people are stupid. We already know who's standing in the way. its idiotic to think that the Repubs will approach this in good faith. They have proved it time and time again that they won't and some of these Dem Senators keep falling for it when they go "This time we mean it, for realsies"

For me it wasn't that TTRPGs were the problem. It was D&D specifically
As a kid I got the Marvel FASRIP box set for Christmas, but I was dragged away from the D&D figures in the toy aisle because they were "Evil"

My mom had the same attitude towards D&D as well
After listening to me running a game she was "That was D&D? You were just talking"
But even to this day she still looks at the cover of the Monster Manual like its going to jump up and attack

Met these weirdos while we were all working at a laser tag arena. I found out some of them had a D&D going and I asked if I could join

I found it enjoyable enough. Had some fun moments, but it was a resounding... Ok
The FF will always be a important part of Marvel history. But for theatrical its just fine. Franklin will play a big part in the next two Avengers movies, so they got him introduced and his power level established

The second are people where we got together because we answered a post on roll20 about joining a game. We've been gaming for almost 7 years now

That sounded like an awesome premise of monsters come to life, what we got didn't quite live up to that image😇

Yup, play both. Although my video gaming habits have changed to older games, MMOs or retro stuff (I am firmly against paying $60-80 for a new game)
And yeah, there is some cross over. My current campaign revolved around How much of City of Heroes can I cram into my D&D game?

I always love the "If they add DC and Puerto Rico as states they'd vote democrat" which is basically just saying "We can't win those seats without being able to gerrymander the districts first

I would watch this any time that it was on TV when I was a kid. During one of those watches I noticed the "Based on the book the Dragon and the George" So had to get that from the library

The sad part is I probably won't get to that as the party has decided to head directly towards the BBEG that they can't actually kill because they either sold and/or decided not to get the things needed to kill the BBEGs and the thing being summoned
